# Icons & Filters: Eftsure Status Indicators in D365 FO

> Reference guide for Eftsure icons covering bank verification, GovCode, tax registration, and email status, plus AP filter controls in Dynamics 365 FO.

Eftsure uses a consistent set of status icons across all Accounts Payable forms in D365 — vendors, bank accounts, invoices, and payment journals — so your team can assess risk at a glance without navigating away from their current task. Alongside these icons, a built-in filter button lets you quickly slice vendor lists by verification status or on-hold state.

## Icons

### Where icons appear

The icon bar you see depends on which form you are working in:

| Form context                   | Icon display                                                                  |
| ------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Vendor form, bank account form | Full icon bar — all status types are shown, some icons are external links |
| Invoice form, payment journal | Single summary icon — only the invoice or payment recommendation is displayed |

<Tip>
  Hover over any icon to see additional detail, including information about potential payment blocks.
</Tip>

You can find a description and recommended action for every icon in the **Eftsure Workspace** under the **Legend** tabs.

### Verification status icons

Verification status icons show whether a vendor's bank account has been verified in the Eftsure database. These icons use the same images as the Eftsure portal.

A **green sideways thumb** indicates the bank account has been **self-certified** internally by an authorised user (see [Self-Certification](/user/self-certification)).

***

### Government code (GovCode) status icons

GovCode icons show the status of the vendor's registered government number (for example, ABN in Australia). These use the same images as the Eftsure portal.

***

### Tax registration status icons

Tax registration icons indicate the status of the vendor's tax registration as returned by the relevant authority lookup. These use the same images as the Eftsure portal.

***

### Email validity icons

These custom icons show the status of the email address the vendor provided during onboarding. Unlike the other icon sets, these are specific to D365 and are not shared with the Eftsure portal.

## Filters

### What the filter does

The Eftsure filter button is available in the action pane next to the Eftsure menu on all applicable D365 forms — including All Vendors, bank account lists, payment journals, Eftsure workspace, and Exflow Import forms. It lets you quickly narrow any vendor list by:

* Eftsure verification status (all statuses)
* Vendor on-hold status

For payment journals, there is an additional filter that applies to individual payment lines rather than vendor bank accounts.

<Note>
  To filter vendors by **Government Code status** specifically, use either the **Eftsure > Registrations > All Vendors by registration** tile in the workspace, or D365's native **Advanced filter / Sort** feature on any vendor list form. The Eftsure filter button intentionally omits GovCode filtering to keep the menu compact.
</Note>

### Display modes

The filter menu supports two display modes you can set per user:

| Mode         | Description                                                         |
| ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Simple** | Shows high-level grouped options — best for everyday use |
| **Advanced** | Shows all individual statuses — best for detailed reviews or audits |

You can also choose **Icon only** to hide the "Filter" label and show only the filter icon, saving space in the ribbon.

### Showing and hiding the filter button

By default, the filter button is visible for all users. You can hide it from a specific form, from all forms, or re-enable it at any time.

#### Hiding the filter from a single form

In the filter menu, select the option to **hide** the button. The filter will disappear from that form only. Your settings are stored as personalisation data.

#### Re-enabling the filter

You have two options to bring the filter button back:

**Option 1 — Clear usage data:**

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open User Options">
    Select your user account icon in the top-right corner of D365 and choose **User options**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go to Usage data">
    Select the **Usage data** tab.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Delete or reset">
    Choose **Delete** to remove your usage history, or **Reset usage data** to restore defaults. The filter button will reappear.
  </Step>
</Steps>

**Option 2 — Reset Filter button:**

Open the filter personalisation settings and change the **Hide** option back to **No**. This re-enables the filter across all forms at once.
